You have an important choice at the beginning of your day. You can choose success and or you can choose to give up on your dreams. But you have to make a choice! If you don’t make a conscious and deliberate choice then the choice is made for you. It’s the unconscious decisions that lead to actions or lack of actions that derail your success, your goals, and your dreams.

Make the choice to have a great day no matter what obstacles you face. It’s a great day not because everything is going right, but it’s a great day because you have deliberately made a choice that today would be a great day. So when the obstacles come your way, you look past them to focus on the goal.

The only way we can achieve success is we focus on the things that bring positive synergy in our lives. The way to focus on the positive is to focus on at least one thing a day that is positive in your life. A spirit of gratitude gravitates you to toward greater things. What you focus on will expand.

Have you ever driven down the road and something catches your eyes on the side of road? Does your car begin to move toward the direction you are looking?

There may be a thousand and one negative things going on around you. If you focus on them, negative energy will intensify. These negative feelings will not prosper and they will slow down your progress. Your journey to success will be overcome by obstacles and detours that seem insurmountable. If these feeling continue giving up on your dreams and goals is the worst possible outcome.

So make the choice that today will be a great day and great things will happen.

The Jesus Effect

The effects of time are far beyond our natural abilities to understand. Jesus is present in all places, at all times. He transcends time; He is present in our past, present, and future. The spectrum of time is illusive to humans. We can never imagine the vastness and depth of eternity. In our youth time seems endless and we believe there is plenty of time to get things right. As we become wiser, time becomes valuable. We realize there is no time to lose and may put too much pressure on yourselves to catch up or win. As we grow older time is fleeting fast. In this season of life we usually realize there are so many things beyond our control. We have a greater level of peace as we realize the truth. The natural perspective of time is small compared to the God we serve, regardless of our stage in life or the level of wisdom we have developed. God’s vision is so great He knew our hurts, pains, joy, and victories before the beginning of time. He knew we would need a Savior and a Lord. The spiritual implication of the Jesus effect guarantees exceeding joy and victory. Jesus came to give us shalom—the perfect place of peace—in our past, present, and future hurt, pain, joy, and victory. The peace of God is able to fill every area of our lives.

When we realize the Jesus effect, the peace and wisdom of God dominates our lives. Wisdom is progressive, as we become wiser and learn from our mistakes. God’s plan included our mistakes and detours before we even made them; He uses them for His Glory. We can have shalom even when we make mistakes, and when we are hurting and in pain because they work towards our joy and victory. Those experiences become valuable when we learn the lesson from them. They take us to new levels of success and new dimensions of victory. We build our faith and become closer to God through our experiences.

Find the balance of time by living in the wisdom and peace God intends. Value time and use it to complete God’s assignment of purpose and destiny in your life. God is in control; His plan is to prosper you and make you an example of the His power on the

Let Go!

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. ~ Jeremiah 29:11

In Jeremiah, God reassures His children that they have a future with victory, peace, and success. In this period in history, God’s children trusted in false prophets because they said what the people wanted to hear. The false prophets’ instructions did not require any faith, trust, or obedience to God. The people’s disobedience led them into captivity. Even in captivity God gave His children instructions to sustain them. Jeremiah prophesied to the captives saying, “God will return you to your land, you will seek after Him with all of your heart, and He will be found.” God is reassuring those who trust Him and even those who have not obeyed Him in the past. He wants you to be victorious against Satan.  God brings comfort, reassurance, and security in difficult times because, Satan’s ultimate goal is to make you stop trusting in the promises of God and send you into captivity. His plan is subtle. Satan uses normal obstacles to make you lose focus on God’s plan for your life. It is easy to take control of your life, when you are not focused on God and His will for you.  Control is a false sense of security that causes you to distrust the plan of God. It is a distraction that detours you from your destiny. Let Go!

Control is a “self centered” attitude; it short circuits and rejects God’s ability to work in your life. Refusing to let go control proves you believe your wisdom surpasses God’s wisdom.  Natural wisdom is limited; you cannot trust in your own abilities. Nor can you move ahead of God and expect Him to follow you. Your full potential is stunted when you refuse to surrender to God. Letting go control of your life is about changing your focus. It allows you to refocus your vision from the natural realm to the spirit realm. A “God centered” life shifts your focus to God’s knowledge and abilities. Living a “God centered” life is also a natural expression of your trust in God; it acknowledges Him as the source of your purpose and destiny. Living a “God centered” life is a physical demonstration of your faith in Him. He is the only source of victory, peace, and success. Let go!

Simply put, letting go is an act of worship; your trust in God ushers you into His magnificent, mighty, and matchless presence. Submit all of you—your spouse, children, money, and career— in worship to God. Your submission leads you into a place of peace and power; your thoughts become agreeable to God’s Will, as it is written in Proverbs 16:3. Surrendering to God produces an unlimited life, only achieved through the power of God. Living a “God centered” life sustains your hope in your final outcome and your trust in God. Your trust strengthens your faith and your ability to rest in the All Powerful God. Your ability to hear from God increases. Because your trust, faith, and rest are in Him, you can receive and apply Godly wisdom to your life. The abundant life He intends for you is connected to your ability to hear from Him. Give God your unconditional trust and ultimate control of your life. His promises breathe life into your full potential. Allow God to add His supernatural power to your natural abilities. His word is the only authority in your life. You will live completely victorious, peaceful, and successful; He is the source! God has a plan for your life so wonderful it’s beyond your wildest dreams. It is a perfect, complete plan that glorifies Him and ultimately becomes a testimony of God’s power. Let Go!

Bring Christ into the Workplace…

God created each of us with a special, unique purpose. Our individual personality and character plays a large part in our purpose and destiny. However, we must grow and mature in Christ to become who God intended. Growing in knowledge and power is the fasted way to make a positive contribution to God’s plan. Our individual purpose works together for the larger purpose of building the Kingdom of God. My personality can be a force of nature; I can be loud, opinionated, and a know-it-all. In the past, when someone offended me I let them know exactly how I felt. After all it is the principle of the matter, right? Wrong, my communication methods were not effective nor did they bring God glory. Recently, I had a terrible experience with on my job. I was being singled out and bullied. My natural reaction was to tell the offender off. However, I am a new person in Christ. I have experienced the living Word of God in my life. I am learning how to be a reflection of God’s love. I began to be quiet and listen for direction. I learned the attack was not about me. I learned that people in pain do one of two things. They either attract more pain to themselves or they radiate pain to others. The love of God is the only power strong enough to break this cycle.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (curing their pains and their sorrows). He determines and counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by their names. Great is our Lord and of great power. His understanding is inexhaustible and boundless. ~ Psalm 147:3-5 (Amp)

The title, “Bring Christ into the Workplace”, may produce an image of a bible toting Christian, preaching to co-workers about their sinful lives and evil ways. However, this is a message of grace. Responding with the love of God in our workplace—to people we don’t know, people we know casually, and even people who hurt us—is a demonstration of God’s grace working through us. God’s grace first gives us the strength to walk in love even when we are hurting. Second, God’s grace helps us to walk in peace in the middle of the storm. God’s grace gives until it overflows. When God gives us anything it has the capacity to meet our needs, then it overflows to touch others. God’s grace will make us victorious, while changing someone else’s life. Submitting to the Will of God produces peace and clarity in our minds. We can then hear from God and receive His wisdom and direction. God’s ways are not our ways; He will ask us to do things that seem backwards in our natural mind, like loving our enemies. But the results are better than we could ever imagine and most importantly God gets the glory through our obedience. The simple act of demonstrating the love of God brings God glory, victory to every situation, and peace in every storm.

God loved us when we were in sin, mean, and self-destructive. He did not allow us to die because we were terrible people. He gave us abundant life on earth and eternal life in heaven. God’s love is so vast, He never sees our flaws; He only sees the people He created us to be. God sees us operating in our purpose. He sees us fulfilling our destiny. He sees us with our inheritance.

As we operate in the Grace of God, we must extend grace to others. We must look past peoples’ flaws and see them as children of God. God sees them as children of promise; we should look through His eyes. We can achieve it by focusing on the things of God; others will then see a greater peace and anointing in our lives. They will want what we have and then their hearts will be open to receive God’s love. Those who are hurting will receive the gift of salvation, deliverance, peace, and joy. They will begin to love themselves and God will break the cycle of pain. There are three things that remain—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.~ I Corinthians 13:13 (TLB) Extending the gift of grace—God’s love—towards others is an important part of building the kingdom of God.

The Other Side of the Promise

Look at a mountain top, a waterfall, or snowflakes; you can see God’s magnificence and majesty. Do not miss God greatest work it’s on the inside of you. God created you to be wonderful and to do great things. He has made provisions for your success in His creative process. Provision is the act or process of supplying or providing something; something that is done in advance to prepare for something else[1]. God prepared your purpose and destiny before the foundation of earth.

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. ~ Jeremiah 29:11 (Amplified)

In your purpose God gave you the authority to change world; you are a powerhouse. He has plans to use your greatness and this is a promise to you. He has made provisions so your promise will come to full manifestation. God has equipped you with every talent, gift, and tool that you need to be successful. Apply the knowledge He gave you to get from the beginning to the full manifestation of your promise.

Success does not just show up one day; it is a process, one small victory on top of another. Your success begins with positive thinking in God’s ability to work through you. Receiving the promise—the beginning of the process—is an amazing experience. God customizes the experience just for you, it is a personal encounter. You may receive a promise in a word of prophecy, a divine revelation, or in a dream. Regardless of the method, it is hard to contain the overwhelming excitement you get in the beginning.

What happens when the excitement dies down, when the work begins? No one talks about the process, the middle of the journey. The process is not always an easy to go through. God does not give you all of the instructions or a full revelation of the process. He simply tells you to walk out by faith into the deep water. You must depend completely in the power of God in the deep water and not your own power. Your praise must become stronger than ever in the middle of the journey. You have to focus on the promise even when nothing in your current circumstance points to the promise. Your hope and faith in Christ is your path to success. In Jeremiah 29:11 God reassures you, He has it all worked out so continue to have hope in the process. When everything in your body tells you that you cannot take another step, your hope in Christ energizes and keeps you moving forward. Tap into the power of Jeremiah 29:11. Enter into the deep water.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you. ~ Isaiah 43:2 (Amplified)

Rest in the knowledge, the water will not overtake you. Don’t stay in the shallow water searching for your promise. When you are in shallow water you can stand on your own two feet, but God wants to carry you. In the shallow water you only need your natural sight to find your way, but God wants you to see the unseen things (through faith). The full manifestation of your blessing in is not in the shallow waters. God wants you to look past what you can see with your natural eyes and believe Him for the supernatural. Your faith and obedience to His instructions will cause doors of opportunity to open for you. Kick your faith into high gear in the dark times. Don’t hide behind excuses, be fearful, or stand in the shallow water; do not stop! God has not given you gifts and talents to hide them in a closet. God wants you to use your talents to do miraculous things beyond what you can imagine. Your success should be used to bless and encourage others. Your success should be a demonstration of the power of God.

You are awesome! You are great! You are a Kingdom Builder! God is moving on your behalf! Do not give up on your promises because things get hard. There will be challenges; your character is shaped by how you respond to them. God does not bring road blocks or detours, but He does use them for your success and for His glory. Through the destiny journey, look back from where God has already brought you; use these times as a book mark of how faithful God is. You will get to the other side of your promise, the full manifestation!

Are You Determined or Desperate?

Desperate times call for desperate measures. For some people this is their reality. They can only depend on themselves. They have to create their own success at all cost. They believe anything goes; all is fair in love and war. They trample everyone who stands in the way of their goals. The devil has created this lie—the life of desperation—as a set up for failure. People who live in desperation look back to find nothing but empty, unfilled lives.

Out of your distress call upon the Lord; the Lord answered and set you free and in a large place. ~ Palms 118:5 (Amplified)

You are made in the image of God—love, righteousness, and peace. God gave us the unconscious, but irresistible desire to have these things. He loved you so much that He did not leave the desired unfulfilled; He is the source. He supplied you with love, righteousness, and even peace. If you are not connected to God, there will be a void. You begin searching to fill the void with things that can never satisfy you. The things obtained through self-effort only magnify your inadequacies. The void becomes larger, the search more aggressive. The devil binds you in a mental stronghold of discontentment and despair. Your thoughts are tangled with failure and negativity. As you focus on those things, they become a reality in your life. As a man thinks in his heart so is he ~ Psalms 23:7. The devil wants to isolate you in a dark, lonely place. He wants to keep you ignorant of the light of God’s love. The devil knows you do have love, righteousness, and peace, but he doesn’t want you have the knowledge. God never created you to be alone. He says that He will never leave nor forsake you ~ Hebrews 13:5. God also created you to connect with others for support and encouragement. Everything that God established, the devil tries to distort. The devil plants small seeds of fear, loneliness, and despair. If these seeds grow, you will begin to believe you are running out of time, you will always be alone, or you will never fulfill your destiny. The life of desperation will become your reality.

Satan tries to block the power of God working in your life so you live defeated and cannot share the power of God’s love with others. The devil tries to steal your knowledge of God’s power and replace it with chaos, fear, and worry. He wants to destroy your peace and victory. Seeing your situations from an emotional state of mind causes you to act out of desperation. Emotions are temporary, irrational, and deceptive. Emotional decisions are ineffective and dangerous. Successful, life producing decisions—small and large—are made with the knowledge of God’s promises, not emotions. A chaotic mind cannot hear from God; God is peace. Peace and chaos, nor clarity and confusion can occupy the same space.

The importance of training your thought life was discussed in How to Become Wealthy in 40 Days (click here). Your focus will determine your success or failure. Focusing and meditating on God’s promises for your life will make your faith stronger. Faith knows you are victorious, you are successful, and you are more than a conqueror no matter your current circumstances. Your mind operates in a state of peace when you stand in faith. Determination is fueled by faith. Increase your faith with the knowledge and belief:

  • God loves you with an unconditional everlasting love ~ Romans 8:35-39
  • You are the righteousness of God ~ Philippians 3:9
  • You have the peace of God—nothing missing, nothing broken—in your life ~ Philippians 1:2

A father’s love is protective. Fathers would give their children the world if they could; they want to see their children live happy and successful lives. Our Father in heaven wants the same thing for His children and has the power to make it come to pass. God orchestrated your destiny from the beginning of time because of His love for you. God wants His power working in your life, because you are a demonstration of His power. God’s power can do amazing things in your life that you would never be able to do on your own. God will make the impossible a reality in your life. When others see God working in your life they will want what you have. Demonstrating God’s power and love is more effective than telling people.

God has a great life for you; His promises should drive your determination. Begin meditating on the Word of God. His power will take over your situation; He will give you a plan to become successful. God will add His supernatural abilities to your natural abilities. He will cause men to show you favor and opportunities to intersect with your preparation. God wants do the impossible in your life, all He asks is you trust Him.

Why Do the Rich Get Richer?

The expression, “The rich get richer and poor get poorer” is something that I have heard many times in my life. When people say this it seem to be a complaint and not a question, why. My friend shared a link with me with an easy to understand commentary. The question is, “what are we going to do about it?’

How to Become Wealthy In 40 Days

The power to change your life is in how you think. “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” ~ Proverbs 23:7.

Contrary to the title, there is a good possibility that your bank account will not show a huge balance in the next 40 days. You will see a manifestation of what God says already belongs to you if you change your thinking.

Believe what God says about you! Victory over your thinking will produce peace, success, health, and long life.

Wealth is not just how much money you have in the bank; peace, success, health, and long life are also components of wealth. Changing or developing a habit is not guaranteed to happen in 40 days; it is not as simple as it sounds. Establishing a consistent pattern over time develops habits. Many habits can be changed in a matter of weeks, however many take more time and effort. Changing how you think will be a continuous process, because there is an enemy out to steal your success.

In Proverbs 23:7, “The heart” is not the muscle in your chest pumping blood through your veins. The bible is referring to your mind. “The heart” is essential to life. Your actual heart is the lifeline for your body, while the mind is the lifeline for your soul. The mind governors how you think, your emotions, and imagination. Your mind operates in two dimensions, the natural realm and spiritual realm. In the natural realm, your intellectual ability is how you receive, process, and distribute information based on your five senses. Your natural mind has only a small part to play in your success. In the spiritual realm, you receive, process, and distribute information is based on the principles of God. Your success is ultimately determined by your thoughts in the spiritual realm. Focus your thoughts on the principles of God, then your natural abilities cannot limit your success. In Proverbs 23, God revealed the power of your thinking. He says to manage your thoughts, because there is an opposing force trying to steal your peace, success, health, and long life. The devil controls your thoughts when you allow your thought life to remain undeveloped. The devil will cause you to worry and feel defeated. Worry and faith cannot occupy the same space, nor defeat and victory. Worrying causes despair; the problem will become larger than life. Seek God to know Him intimately, and meditate on His word. You are empowered with health, peace, and wisdom, because God has an unending, unconditional love; God is grace! Focus on God then prosperity will chase you down. “Remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth” ~ Deuteronomy 8:17.

Everything begins with God. God’s wisdom is infinite. His ways higher than your ways. God is the creator of all things, therefore you cannot depend on your level of thinking to get to the level of success that God intends for you. You are submitting your “heart” to God when you renew your mind. God will then cause your thoughts to agree with His will ~ Proverbs 16:3. God will elevate you regardless of your intellectual abilities.

God said that before you were formed in your mother’s womb He FORMED, He KNEW , He APPROVED, He SEPARATED, He SET, He APPOINTED, and He WILL SEND you. Most importantly—God said—“I am with you” ~ Jeremiah 1:4-9!

If you just believe that God is with you, you can do the impossible and conquer the insurmountable. Your faith is reflected in your actions. Faith gives God the opportunity to show His power in your life. Your success is not based on your abilities, but the power God gave you.

The principles of victorious thinking applies to every area of your life. Imagine if you changed your thinking about your marriage, job, or children. You would have a better attitude, be more productive, and get a better response. Imagine what you can do if you actually believe God gave you the power to get wealth. When your faith is reflected in your actions the wealth producing idea lying dormant in your mind will come to life. See your life change in the next 40 days; begin improving your thought life today.
